Performax 61-1012 Poly Conveyor Belt for all 16-32 Models Review

The original Performax sander came stock with a 100 grit sandpaper conveyor belt.These sandpaper belts were brittle, and I broke two during critical projects.In addition, the sandpaper belts scratched the finished surfaces of stock placed on them.The new poly belt is much more flexible and feeds the wood into the sander much better.

It is expensive, but so is the Performax.However, the finished product will reward you for making the initial investment.

This is the hobbiests equivelent of a professional tool, totally capable of professional results. It may be equal to the high-dollar "pro" tools in the long runwith constant use, but I haven't had mine long enough to comment on endurance yet.

It's a solid tool, shipped fast, and a fantastic bargain. (All the goodies with the 'promo' pkg. are just extra gravy)

The 'soft start' is probably the softest I have ever experienced on a power tool. In fact, the first trigger pull had me thinking the switch didn't work for a second! So far so good. :)

Dremel 561 Multipurpose Cutting Bit Review

There are others who say that this bit doesn't work... the only thing I can think is that they do not understand how to use it.I have used these bits to cut through lanolium, wood, sheetrock and metal with no problems.

1) IT IS NOT A PLUNGE BIT!!There is no sharp, or split tip with which to bore into an object. Instead the bit has to be leaned into the item to be cut until it is perpendicular to the surface, or started from an edge.

2) After you understand how to start a cut you must remember that SPEED is of the ESSENCE - the faster the bit is spinning the better it will cut.

3) The last thing to remember to use this bit successfully is to let the tool do the work.Light, slow, controlling pressure is the best way to make a successful cut, and the harder the material being cut, the slower one will want to advance.

I love these bits and always keep a couple of them in my case with my rotary tool.

I ordered this sandpaper to use on my Bosch detail sander. It arrived on time and in good condition. The paper seems a bit thin but it holds up well. The triangles themselves are bigger than the pad on the Bosch sander but the holes match up so it works with the vacuum attachment I have on the sander. MICRO MESH 5" - 5-HOLE SANDING DISC COMBO PACK Review

I received this product but have not had the chance to use it.Its sand paper, how difficult is that?The only complaint I have is this company wont stop spamming my email with adds.I wish they would be appreciative that I purchased their product, and now leave me the (blank) alone.So maybe you'd be better off using some other company... Just a word of thought.

I purchased this pad to enable me to remove wood from my projects in a hurry and

Mirka 9A-232-080RP 10 pieces. 5-Inch P80 Grit Abranet Discs Review

These sanding disks last a very long time. I'm pleased with them but be careful. If your sander has fine velcro hooks on it (like my bosch) they will quickly, and I mean fast, an hour or more wear out and you'll have to replace the disk on the sander. Why? Looking under a microscope it seems that some of the hooks on the sander velcro pop through the open mesh structure of the sanding abrasive. Once the hooks are damaged, nothing will stick to them.
The solution? Use the abranetpads that go between the sander and the abrasive. I found out the hard way.

Fein 3-26-07-065-02-0 154 Blade with Depth Stop Review

The depth gauge is a good idea that probably should have been thought out in the original design process. It's solid enough, it won't come off (see later advice), and it serves its purpose. However, it has to be removed to make some cuts, and being Hibernian and not Hanseatic, I find my patience a bit tried, not to mention my concentration, in making sure the various bits and pieces are accounted for and secured.
Advice as promised: When you're making a cut without the depth foot installed, make sure the knurled locking screw is TIGHT. Otherwise, the not-particularly-captive nut in the piece will escape as vibration loosens the locking screw. Mine went down a return vent, but I was able to find it, a couple of sheet-metal cuts later.
On the Futility-Utility Continuum, it's in the Utility segment, but with qualifications.

- Northern Industrial Tools Grinder - 4.5in. 10,000 RPM Review

When I purchased this grinder it was $41.99 now it is selling for nearly half that. For the current price it is a fair deal. It is slightly above the Harbor Freight and other ChiCom batch of cheapo grinders but miles from Milwaukee, Metabo and other top shelf tools. This one has been abused more than used and is still functioning as it did when I opened the box. The bearings are still quiet and if it lasts another year before dying I will be happy with the purchase.
Still, I could have bought 3 of the HF units for what this one cost and it isn't 3 times as good.
